About Us

Welcome to the Gloucester Yacht Club web site, it is a vital tool to the club and should be well used.  It is our own site, run by the Club for members and will be of great use if you use it and contribute to it.  Contributions are very welcome from all Club members, tales on board, a gripe or praise for British Waterways, tips and tricks, photos of your boat, links to other sites or something boaty you think would interest other members.

For any non-member, we encourage boating on the Gloucester-Sharpness canal and River Severn: we provide information and practical assistance connected with boating; and a clubhouse, with bar, for relaxing and holding social events.  There are Club events and trips throughout the year.

The Club House is your place to unwind, meet up with old friends from up and down the waterways and to make new friends.

Our members come from a wide area and from all walks of life.  You do not have to be a boat owner to become a member, you just need an interest in boats and the waterways.
